  1. Onion skin!! haha...that helped a lot..thanks for the tip about the graph editor..I forgot about that! I fixed the arc problem very much...here's a shot of the z axis arc in the graph before fixing:
  2. oooo! Thanks...how did you do that pic anyways?
  3. Hmm... -in this pass I made the last pose back to the natural one -he is traveling in an arc -when did I ever say anything about deceleration in the air? -I fixed the contact point..it's tough to see, but I did -the middle legs aren't arms...they're other legs In this pass, I also added a bit of squash and stretch in the eyeball.. bot_jump_pass6.mov
  4. uh, this is a test for animation, not for an actual clip. I dont' care about lighting right now. and motion blur isn't used.
  5. Alright...I added a little "bend forward" pose before jumping to show more power thrown into the jump bot_jump_pass4.mov
  6. I can't see the leg intersecting the foot anymore (I made a third pass).. Differences in this pass than last: *Bounce at end of landing *Doesn't lean back as far *Better sight of anticipation bot_jump_pass3.mov
  7. Alright...I'm practicing some more on animation..here's my second pass at a jump (my first just stunk)...right now I realize I must show him hunching down more getting ready for the jump bot_jump_pass2.mov
  8. Another screwed post
  9. No...but here's what I mean... I reverse normals and the "blacks" on those patches are gone but they move to the other ones...I reverse those normals and it still happens
  10. Hey guys....this is a dull model so far since it's mainly for practicing connecting (nose)...I have a problem with porcelain...I reverse all the normals I need to but still there are those blackened patches that really annoy me
  11. It was originally for practice but now that I realize how much time I spent on it, I'll probably end up using it in a film
  12. I suggest adding some ease in/out to this camera movement..it looks very linear right now
  13. deadish? you mean like it doesn't look alive or it's the type of character that looks dead
  14. alright...I made the whole thing a bit more snappy. I feel that the middle of the action is too linear, I think I'll add some arcs bot_step_snappy.mov
  15. Alright...I tweaked anticipation so it was projected much more. Pass two posted below bot_step.mov
  16. I understand what you mean...thanks! yeah, I don't like A:M's standard setting either, but that's how the world turns. Alright..I got my first animation: the bot....steps...forward. I'm still trying to get the hang of animation, so bare w/ me bot_step.mov
  17. There we go! Darker gold and higher specularity
  18. The gold looks dull because of the reflectivity setting..it relflects a dark color so it looks like a dull gold..I could turn down the reflection part. Animation will be coming soon EDIT: alright, here's the gold reflectivity turned down. the only problem is that it doesn't look so gold
  19. Riggin is done!!! hahahahahaha...animating time!
  20. Whoo hoo! Now I have to rig it
  21. I'm still going to go with four legs..thanks for the suggestion though! Alright..I noticed he looked a bit too tall so I tweaked some stuff:
  22. Ok....here is a previsualization..there will be four legs, and they'll connect to the bottom-most disc shown
  23. The guy's foot so far:
  24. lol...another one that I came up with: I used the duplicator wizard for the spring...below the big disc will be four legs.
  25. I don't understand what you mean at all in this post. Please clear it up without internet slang and fragment sentences
