  1. Here are a few more pics, I worked on it a lot today I hope you guys like it so far.. The room looks smaller than it is because I made the camera size bigger to get the whole room in the picture but you get the point! This pic is the inside with lights hanging they are supposed to be those modern ones that have like a wax paper over them..
  2. nice model!!! I love the textures and he really looks wet, great job!
  3. Glad I could help! This is how you mix CG and live action too
  4. Thanks, yeah all those suggestions helped! Now I need to get everything else done..
  5. VERY NICE KEN! I love the sounds, I wouldnt want to be running away from him! About the white backround.. try this out, set the grounds properties to Flat shaded and Front Projection ON and then turn on Z-Buffered shadows on the light that you wan tot make the shadow! I've found it the easiest and best way to get that white backround althoguht you probably dont need it since your looks great! Keep it up!
  6. Thanks I wish I could get him moving sooner but I have to get this other project finished by Tuesday
  7. Thanks Ken! I have like completely finished, except something is petting my peeve... yes.. you heard me The thing is, I want it to be like dark red wine, but transparent at the same time! it wont cooperate with me and is being rebellious and doesnt want to be dark and transparent at the same time. I've tried every combination of settings, so what am I missing? Is this possible? Thanks peops.. I'll have a pic as soon as I get it workin
  8. Thats so cool! It could be very usefull too!
  9. unfortunately I tried that, I have the inside and outside of the glass PLUS the wine itself inside as a seperate object and there is no distortion at all... doesnt make too much sence
  10. I'm currently working on a project for school where I have to make some kind of room, in this case I'm making it an expensive condo in hawaii. I want it to look as photorealistic as I can. I'll have pictures very soon, I'm really happy with how its turning out! Anyways, I just have a quick question, one of the props is a wine bottle. I have the model all laid out now I'm working on the materials. I cant get the light to refract right through the glass! Is there any way to do this? I've tried the refraction and density setting, but they just dont cut it.. has anyone dealt with this before? Thanks! ::EDIT:: Alright I want to start this off with a picture, so I figured out all those questions and I think I'm happy with the wine bottle! Now I just need to model.. everything else! CC is always welcome I want to make it as photorealistic as I can. More pics of the condo coming up!
  11. hahaha, thats great! Although, I wouldn't say that would be a "normal" death
  12. His eyes remind me of the eyes on the movie i-Robot, very cool!
  13. More than one pose Ken, Blink, mouth and the tongue was done by hand.. I'm working on the phonemes now, I can't wait till "it" can talk!
  14. Holy !@#$ !!! Doesn't anyone else think this model is amazing?! The eyes look extraordinary!! GREAT JOB! (please excuse my enthusiasm)
  15. Been a while, but schools holding me back and a lot of other projects too.. I really want to get this guy movin though.. Anyways, he has most expressions built now as poses.. heres a funny one I made.. Now its starting to get fun! this is just in the modeling window but you get the point, I also smoothed out all of the mesh from the last version since I was modeling retarded then... yes yes and I still have a long ways to go.. anyways, have fun!.. or somethin....
  16. New Character.. well more like, an improved character.. You think its done Flog? I shortened the arms
  17. When the window of this post first popped up and I saw that I nearly feel out of my chair! Looks like something they whipped up over at Cgtalk or somethin... VERY NICE!
  18. Very cool characters Flog! I cant wait to see them in action!
  19. haha , yeah it is actually my first real animation on my home PC
  20. Here's another pic I made in 2 seconds... sorry I'm having way too much fun with this!! , I can't wait to make an animation using this technique! Next purchase: Synth Eyes Next goal: get a job to make some freakin money.. to get synth eyes... I'm gonna sleep with one eye open now! haha
  21. hmm.. link doesnt work for me
  22. whoah! I just noticed that you can see the edge of the model! AHH! I never even saw that, did any of you notice it?? Its like that lighter line on the wall in the back..grrr.. Thanks! haha, yeah the case is cool... and about the whole watching my posts thing... thats creepy! but thanks a lot!! I know I tryed to blur it up some in photoshop but your right, it could use some noise. Its actually pretty easy, you do the same thing as you do with the desktop, you just have to make the basic shape of the front of the "real" object and then set it to flat shaded/front projection map! fun fun! Thanks for all the comments guys! I've learned a lot from this!
  23. Thanks for the suggestions I'll definately use them! Yeah I forgot where I saw, reflection map. Thanks a lot, I'm gonna try that next time. Also, I did take a flash.. I actually used the wrong pic, I think I had one with the natural shadows but I was already too far into it to start over... I tryed to blur the image in photoshop some but I think its also kinda grainy so I should have spent more time on that, your right. I also considered using soft reflection because it would have made it look really good, but I have'nt been able to get it to work yet so I have some testing to do with that first! Thanks so much for helping out with this! I'm thinking of making some kind of flim with CG mixed into live action and I really want to get that Tracking software I think its called Synth Eyes or somethin, but I need to make some money first . Anyways, its certainly fun doing this! Later
  24. Ok here goes.... UGHHHH SO HARD *copy* EGHHH!!! *paste* http://www.mmiusa.com/ookpik/tutorial/fpm/ haha great tutorial check it out... Heres a summary... 1)Get a pic and set it as a rotoscope 2)model the basic surface of whatever you want to recieve shadows etc. 3)set up a light which you want to cast shadow.. use a klieg, with z-buffer on 4)on the basic modeling you did that is going to recieve the shadows etc, set it to front projection map ON and flat shaded ON And then there ya go , set up some more light so it looks real (I didnt spend too much time) make the shadows go the right way and set the z-buffer softness etc to make it "fit in". 5)Have Fun!!
  25. Hey heres something I put together really quik... Can you guess what real and not? haha, probably. I wish I were that good I was going to add reflection maps...but I cant figure out how to soo... is it just a type of decal or what? Remember, CC is ALWAYS welcome!!
