You could have the arrow emit sprites at the correct time and almost no speed
whipped this up so a basic idea at best used leaf sprite hope it helps

Not sure what may have happen but the mdl file is a text file if you look at it and compare to another mdl file it could possibly be fixed...or it was possible in earlier versions of AM
I tried to load and use the old Martian model into 17g and it crashes 17g because older model save in different format. Cannot remember if there was an solution so began tinkering.
If I load older model in to 17g then start new model then copy old model and paste into new model then drag bones on to new model it appears to work EXCEPT you have to reassign the bones. I started to do that by comparing old model assignments and transfering to new model will let you know how this works.
