  1. Wow. Looks great.

It's interesting to see all these companies opening up to the lower end of the consumer level.

I see the direct link to the download is:

    http://www.quixel.se/dDo/dDo_release.exe

Note that (as far as I can tell) you'll need Photoshop to use DDO:

DDO is compatible with Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC and up, Extended and Standard editions, and runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.

Yes and obviously you need enough RAM

On my i5 with 4 Gig i cant get it running without crashing.

  2. I think, its not possible now in a way that makes sense (except the soulcagedepartment solution maybe )and most unlikeley, that we get a plugin solution from Hash to lets say cycles.

Simply not realistic at the moment or near future.

So for some of my purposes i am transfering some of my charas , assets to poly with the obj exporter , liberating

Many renderpipelines, but in that case that Leads to using others applications for most tasks ,leaving A:M just for basemeshmodeling.

  3. Hi Yves,

Frankly i dont understand all of that techy talk,

But it would be great to have the possibility to achieve a look and style

Like from physical correct renderes like cycles or maxwell.

If you are saying, you could come close with A:M if you are just knowilageable enough

    The better.

  4. As far as Adobe is concerned, i freezed on cs 6 and since I own Mangastudio 5 i tend to fire up Photoshop fewer and fewer for coloring lineart, i still need it for its videoxapabilities though...

Also hope c4 d stays free of adobe...

  5. Well, i dont know. It would still be much harder to do and even more expensive to produce, i guess.

But maybe 2-d Animation would be another option, like Bill Plympthon doing movies as a oneman show.

  6. I estimate with todays technolgy a stunt like my project could be pulled off with a budget of 2 to 3 million Euro

In about 2 years time with a small team lets say of 6 very talented and dedicated people, that get payed just a living base during production time and a participation later.

So I guess the best thing I can do is trying to spread the word and get popular somehow in order to find a sponsor.

  7. Hi Rodney,

Due to your hint I changed the order of the books at toonsup, so that no other reader might run into the trap to start at the end.

Regarding the length take into account, that my premier goal was to generate material to be able to create an animatic for a feature length movie not to make actual comicbooks in the first place.

Since i am a great comicbookfan and I am "thinking"in panels , I thought it was a good idea to work this way, "smashing too flys with one clap".

You can watch an example of an animatic here:

    http://www.jostkeller.de/marinavonsee.de/demo.html

Since i run out of time and money, i havent been able to follow this overambitious goal ever since.

I guess from the expiriences of TWO and killerbean it would have taken me another two to three years to finish the whole movie by first finishing all the animatics ideally with german and english voiceovers, then to rigg all the characters and animate them, composite etc. pp

But nevertheless it was fun doing it and this way i have gotten at least something to show to maybe attract some curiosity.

As for reference: I more or less dream them up from my memory of things i have seen in the past.

That way i get that simplified stylized look i wanted to achieve in order to be able to finish this project, ha, ha...
