entity Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 WOW!! I like that, John. How is it you got it to move more smoothly? Did you keyframe the materials or use a camera trick? How would you create starstreaks this way? Quote
johnl3d Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 the last version I redid the model and rigging the material is moving toward the camera as is the whole model edges it an unfolding "cup" this isn't done yet but its a good start the project file is below used V11S there are two poses one to set constraints on "cup" edges" one to increase the diameter of edges as the "cup" opens the first ring follows a path null on top on model constraint to path and material moved in chor settings have fun... i'll reposted this later if I make any major chnges this was one of those stray ideas i happened on ps star streaks...not sure exactly what you mean but material change might do it nextone.zipFetching info... MATrickz Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Thats so cool! It could be very usefull too! Quote
johnl3d Posted October 3, 2004 Author Posted October 3, 2004 just for fun I reduced model in modeling window to about 1/3 its size using master bone etc changed a few of the material settings mostly color and a few small tweaks and you get this should see if this looks good from the side? but this is enough for now another2.movFetching info... mtpeak2 Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 I like the effects John. the last two were pretty cool! Quote
JHV Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Looking at the last animation before the side view, I'm still not getting the sense of a "tunnel". This could be because of the shortness of the clip, but I think that the camera needs to be animated to travel "Through" the tunnel. I like the blue ball at the end of the tunnel, it's very organic looking, but the sides seem a little sparse. Quote
johnl3d Posted October 3, 2004 Author Posted October 3, 2004 this was a test rig the tunnel was coming at the camera but yes to get a better effect the camera could move in too. The blue image (material change) was a quick change and a render with no tweaks this wasn't for any project just an idea I wanted to play with an idea I often use AM as a big toy and just play and sometimes it gives off other ideas to myself and others and helps me figure out constraints poses materials lights etc you can see the results of some of my stuff at my site http://johnl.inform.net/ Quote

John Bigboote Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 That looks like a dream I had once... of course, there was a train to fill that tunnel...dunnoh what it meant, but I dig the imagery! Quote
