Hey folks, 1stly- this most likely will not happen, but I am testing the waters here.

I have a guy who needs some architectural animation made for him of 2 modern house designs. He supplies blueprints of the houses- that's all. We would do the rest. Blueprints attached.

He has seen and likes THIS style of animation:

http://vimeo.com/65184155

I would like to build a team of 2-3 seasoned A:M ers to help me model, assemble, light, design and render some 25 interior and 5 exterior :10 second 'zoom/pans' of the entire house(s). The 2 homes would need to be populated with trees/bushes/plants, appliances, modern furniture, cars, glassware, TVs, beds with bedspreads... and all would need to be designed like a modern catalogue home (think Ikea)

He wants 1920 X 1080 but I will talk him in to 1280 X 720 renders.

The project would most likely take place in 3weeks to a month. I am 'feeling him out' on his money budget- and have a feeling he is dreaming.

Interested parties, please respond to campbell at kineticcreations dot com and if you have samples or links to any architectural ANIMATIONS... bonus! Feel free to ask any questions below. More details to come. Thank-You!

Curious.

The structure of the houses look easy to build.

The interior and landscaping...is anyone's guess from that description. Is that part of the deal? Are you to do it?

...or....

Are there to be supplied detailed plan/drawings/photos for the interior design staging: furniture pieces, design, placement, fabrics, colors, window, floor treatments etc.

Are there landscaping plans to follow?

More likely, there are project sample finishes (eg stucco, wood, etc?), trim & wall colors for exteriors, roofing material, etc?

As I understand it.. this company builds houses, they don't necessarily furnish them. The buyers would add their furniture, appliances, maybe hire a decorator. The approach would be to use catalogue images as reference... get them okayed by client. (This room would be decorated like this picture is... complete with chachkeys(?) wall-paint/texture, flooring, furniture, art on walls (We probably could not get the exact art, but something similar would suffice) THEN, the room-modeler would have his work defined, make this chair, make the floor have a tile and tile texture like this, make the walls this color, make the lamp like this... etcetra. It's either that or hire an interior decorator... but I don't think we have that kind of money. Still waiting to find out. Ball is in his court.

As far as the exterior... I think they would supply images with the type of vinyl siding, shingles, and as far as the yard layout and proximity of other houses, I have blueprints for that. The other houses would be clone copies, maybe flipped- of these houses. There would be a LOT of small details to fill in.

Nice try!

However, here's some more english spellings (wikipedia): tchotchke, tshotshke, tshatshke, tchachke, tchotchka, tchatchka, chachke, tsotchke, chotski, or chochke

But in Yiddish: tsatske or tshatshke

Yeah, but do you put locks on your BAGELS? I used to put locks on my bagels until I discovered cream cheese... now, I can't leave the house without putting a shmear on the front door! Nancy, from hence forth, I will use the spelling (cntrl-V) tshatshke...

Matt,

I've done a whole bunch of these. Over 10 years experience on these exact projects.

I'll zip you an e-mail, but below is a link to a small video reel that highlights a few

of the projects I've done. Make sure you watch the end clips. I created an entire

city block for the University of SC that successfully got city approval for their new

Athletics campus.

Hi William- Yes- I got them. Fantastic- you are JUST what this guy is looking for! (Robcat recommended you too) I forwarded the 2 stills, your demo reel and contact info to him, so he may contact you direct. Also got some nice samples from Marcos, so SOMEONE may get some work out of this guy, lets hope! Right now, he's playing his cards close- won't tip his hand on what kind of budget he has. Chances are he may have been just 'pricing out' how much it costs to get something like this made, will forward the quotes on to the architectural firm and see if they bite.

Bottom line, we have some GREAT talent on this forum!

if you go look at my apartment i modeled from architectural drawings you can get a better idea how this is done. its in the free model area. its actually really really easy with this program.

but if they need diagrams with piping and electrical wiring lines then you have to get creative with other means.

and Will thats some amazing work!
