Darkwing
ILM released this short video today about the making of the New York scenes in the Avengers and holy crap, it's pretty mind blowing the amount of CG work and detail they put into it! I knew obviously some of it was CG, but I actually had no clue that it was almost entirely CG.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 20, 2013 Hash Fellow Share Posted February 20, 2013 Every year they sort of wrestle with when does it stop being a live action film and when does it start being an animated feature?

Gerry
Finally watched this, although I think I've seen parts of it before. Pretty amazing! It's worth doing a YouTube search on compositing demo reels. There's a ton of amazing examples of this kind of work, although replicating all of midtown Manhattan down to the sidewalk signs is in a class by itself I would think!
