Fuchur
my new wireless keyboard has no number pad, how do I switch views? Thanks. Go to a free toolbar-place (for example next to the time-indicator), right click on it and choose "View > Views". That will activate the correct toolbar for you. Anyway I would suggest to get another keyboard with a number-pad or get an additional number-pad. It is just so much easier and faster. See you *Fuchur*
markw
I don't have a number pad either on my Macbook Pro but It's quit easy to setup your own custom keyboard shortcuts to replicate it. In A:M go to: Customise > Keyboard and start making shortcuts. On mine I have assigned the view options to the arrow keys in conjunction with one or two moderator keys. I chose the arrow keys because they actually give a sort of visual representation on the keyboard of Left, Right, Front etc… Here's my list; VIEW = KEYBOARD SHORTCUT Back = Control Command Up Bird's Eye = Control Up Bottom = Control Down Camera = Command Shift Down Front = Command Down Left = Command Left Light = Control Command Right Right = Command Right Top = Command Up
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 27, 2011 Hash Fellow Share Posted December 27, 2011 -In the Tools>Customize window you can create new tool bars and arrange the "View" buttons to mimic the numberpad arrangement: -you could reassign some unused keys on your keyboard to behave as the number pad 789 UIO JKL M perhaps with CTRL or ALT - In the view window you can >Views> to choose a view
Gerry
You could even reassign some already-used keys if there are shortcuts you don't use a lot. I recently reassigned my L key to Lock instead of Lathe, since I use the former much more than the latter. It's really great to have that flexibility.
