pixelplucker Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Small etched crystal award, was faster to model it than to retouch a photo of a real one.. Of course mine looks better Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 16, 2011 Hash Fellow Posted June 16, 2011 Successories! Looks like one little patch isn't taking its decal well. Maybe a CP got moved? Quote
HomeSlice Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Dude that's awesome. For a few minutes I thought it was a photo of a laser etched glass cube. Quote
pixelplucker Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 I noticed that the image is warped a bit, some reason I can't fix it at all without AM crashing on me. Odd part is the warp isn't on an edge either and cp's seem fine. Customer changed the crystal they are actually going to use after all that fussin.... figures. Heres the model, textures and chor if anyone wants to fiddle with it. crystal_cube.zip Quote

pixelplucker Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 Still kicking version 15j here, haven't upgraded yet. Quote
John Bigboote Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Awesome! What is your refraction setting? Try this for the warped surface... before you go to render... give your space-bar a good whap! Sometimes this helps to put things back right... don't know why... Quote
pixelplucker Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 Wasn't an AM bug on the patches, my fault, still have poly tendencies and put in an extra spline that wasn't needed. Think the refract is 1.3, the mat is something I made a year or 2 ago for these award models. It is included in the zip Thanks for the compliments. crystal_cube.zip Quote
