johnl3d Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 rough idea was going to add hair on the edge but tried this first microdisc.mov disc1.zip project file Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted January 3, 2011 Hash Fellow Posted January 3, 2011 That is odd! It looks like it just tastes it, then gives up. Quote
Walter Baker Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I think I saw that in a old Star Trek episode. Quote
NancyGormezano Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Yummy. What is making the cloth blob deform before it touches the black spot/thing? It's like an invisible sheild. Is there an invisible deflector or is there a setting for some sort of tolerance? I have noticed when I have tried cloth, that sometimes it appears to float above the deflector (eg the ground). Quote
johnl3d Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 I think its the tolerance have not played much with that was hoping to get a more fluid action just with the movement will have to play with it more also Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted January 4, 2011 Hash Fellow Posted January 4, 2011 I have noticed when I have tried cloth, that sometimes it appears to float above the deflector (eg the ground). That's the "collision tolerance" setting. I believe it's in cm. you can change the default 3 to very low numbers like .1 Quote
johnl3d Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 tweaked a little and added hair to the edge also notice in the last one the "cell" was not really being completely blocked by the black object ...fixed that now to make it even more springy microdisc2.mov disc2.zip Quote
