Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 26, 2004 Hash Fellow Share Posted February 26, 2004 Another frantic stab at the digitalrendering.com four-hour animation showdown Last night's topic was "Dance." Had grander visions but... oh well <_> The soundloop by "DrLoop" was from Flashkit.com 234KB QT Sorenson3 dance.mov
Admin Rodney Posted February 26, 2004 Admin Share Posted February 26, 2004 Dances better than me! Looks like you've got the synchronization of audio and video down pat. Any suggestions for linking sound with animation? I'm not looking for anything specific but... who knows I might want to add music to the pictures some day Thanks for that link as well. I'll check it out.
DarkLimit
ROFL thats some funny stuff...... maybe add some randomness to his body parts so things don't look so symetrical.....

KingSalami
quite the hip thrust on him
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 28, 2004 Author Hash Fellow Share Posted February 28, 2004 quite the hip thrust on him Ain't it shockin'? But I was trying to put that "lead the body motion with the hips" principle into practice. Any suggestions for linking sound with animation? The first thing I did was stretch the sound loop out in Sound Forge so that it was EXACTLY (not "almost", not "nearly", not "pretty close to") 2 beats per second, aka 12 frames per beat. Then I tried to animate the bounces to land on every 12th frame. Sounds obvious, but I've failed enough times before at that scheme that I was quite surprised when it slapped together just right with no time to spare. maybe add some randomness to his body parts so things don't look so symetrical..... Yup. The arm movement was a desperate last second addition. And the head's not doing anything.
Admin Rodney Posted March 1, 2004 Admin Share Posted March 1, 2004 Note to self: 12 frames per beat AND do it "Exactly" Got it. Thanks!
