How would I make a spiral path in a choreography

How would I draw a spiral pathway in the choreography window so that I could have a camera, or light, travel in a 360 degree circle while moving up (or down.)

Thanks.

You could use the dupe wizard to spin a small shape around ins spiral and then copy one resulting spline to use as your path.

Or...

you could make the camera a child of a Null that would be at the center of your spiral. Then rotate and move the Null, the camera will spin aroudn it.

Do I need to add another camera because isn't the default camera a child of the choreography?

Well... The camera is an object IN the Chor. You can constrain it (both Translate and Rotate constraints) to make it behave as if it were a child of the null.

Or, as you surmise, you can make a new model and add a camera to it which will be like a bone that you can make a child of another bone or Null.

I see a "Translate to..." constraint but no "Rotate". Isn't Translate movement? How would I do as you suggest?

Steffen has a plugin that can create a spiral called "Primitive". V16 comes with it or you can DL it from his website. The plugin does alot more that just spirals.

I saw this wizard but no instructions on how to use it.
