MasterFunk Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Whenever I render something it turns out fuzzy. In the quick render is is crystal clear, but the actual render is pixelated. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Quote
Luuk Steitner Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Maybe you can show a render or your settings? Fuzzy could mean you have turned on depth of field, pixelated could mean single pass render without anti aliasing. In the render options dialog you can choose to use the settings from that dialog or the current camera. That can explain why your results are different. Quote
MasterFunk Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 Here is the settings and a render. Thanks for the help. Quote
Luuk Steitner Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Did you deliberate turn off multi-pass? Enabling multi-pass might might give better results. Quote
MasterFunk Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 I tried multipass and the every pass looked really good except for the last one and that one was fuzzy. Quote
Master chief Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Ok one thing that might ba causing this is your resolution and what range your rendering at something rendered at 400X400 will look a lot fuzzyer than at 1200X1200 , give it a try Quote
NancyGormezano Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I tried multipass and the every pass looked really good except for the last one and that one was fuzzy. umm.. then do 1 less pass? - how many passes did you like ? Quote
heyvern Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 The image you posted doesn't look fuzzy at all to me. It looks sharp and clear. How are you viewing it? If it is a rendered animation and you view it at full screen... it's going to look fuzzy. -vern Quote
photoman Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Hmmm... Out on a limb here but did you add a blur post effect to the camera? The pic look fine to me though. [Offtopic] Go Mac Users!!!! [/offtopic] -Photoman Quote
MasterFunk Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Maybe my display is messing it up for me. I will see what it looks like on a different computer. Quote
MasterFunk Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 I did a render without a rotoscope and it was fine but as soon as I put a rotoscope in there it got all fuzzy. Is AM just rendering at the same rez as the picture? Quote
heyvern Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 What part of the image is a rotoscope? Can we see a side by side comparison? Fuzzy and not fuzzy? When I look at your sample at the size it is rendered at it is not fuzzy... at least the skull and rocks up front are not fuzzy. The edges and detail are sharp at that resolution. A rotoscope is an image. If you render it larger than the original resolution it will be fuzzy. -vern Quote
KenH Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Yes, an image would be helpful. As others say, the image looks crisp enough to me. If it's not your monitor try rendering the rotoscope out at twice the resolution of the image it'll be in image it's a roto in. Quote
MasterFunk Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 Its fixed now I am not sure exactly what happened but it is all good now, thanks for the suggestions. Quote
