kylemb Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 hi. people keep going on about this darktree thing and i was wondering, what is it Quote
Fuchur Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 It is a material-creator-programm which can be combined with Animation:Master. Have a look at this website: Dark Tree for A:M *Fuchur* Quote
Robert Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 yes! some materials autoinstalls with v13. To get more or if you want to create new materials you have to purchase the programm. Quote
johnl3d Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 lots of free materials here http://www.darksim.com/html/simbiontam.html Quote
Tralfaz Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I've downloaded all of the free shaders and materials from Dark Tree and found a great metallic paint shader. The shaders are very easy to use and work great! I am using the metallic paint shader on the frame of the 1934 Ford I am working on. Al Quote
John Bigboote Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I've had Darktree's for several versions now and think they are great but have a question: Are DarkTrees now included in V15? If so, where can they be found? (Or do we still need to seek them out on the internet and download them?) Quote
Caroline Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Are DarkTrees now included in V15? If so, where can they be found? New Material. Right click Attribute Change Type To > Plugin > DarkSim > SimbiontAM Then in the SimbiontAM properties click Load DarkTree. This is where you have to have the Darktree materials from john's link downloaded. This site has rendered them and shows what they are: http://www.pixelburg.com/am_materialtest/ Only the DarkTrees from Darkling Simulations FREE(!) Simbiont 2.1 package and DarkTrees from Matt Andersen are still available for download. Quote
