flashawd
I am getting more confident in my modeling ability, so I thought I would challenge myself and TRY to model a motorcycle. Below is a couple of pics of the actual bike and the front wheel that I started on. I think one of my problems is too many CPs, but as you can see from the CPs pic there is a lot of detail around the wheel rim and the indented black area - that I have a lot of CPs in, which I think I need, but not sure if there is a simpler and better way to do it - I would love any advice on that and anything else. Also, the tire I just put a torus on there as a filler - I'll do the tires last and try to get suggestions on the best way to do it. Thanks for any help, Eric

flashawd
Hello - after a few busy months of client jobs, I finally have some free time to practice modeling this motorcycle again. Again, any suggestions to make anything better are appreciated. Eric
3DArtZ
I'm just responding about the wheele, even though you might have already moved on... I think that it looks really good. The only way I can think to simplify it would be to have the wheele in 2 pices. One would be just a cylinder, then another that has that wave detail. You would be able to use different mesh resolution for each. fewer for the inner round wheele and more for the outer waved wheele.
