the_black_mage Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 UPDATE!!! heres are some new images i did using a diffrent image _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ i recently(yesterday) decided to try some reflective rendering. and man it turned out good!!! All i did was use an hdri background, wrapped around a sphere via projection master. then i made a mettaur(from megaman) as the study subject. added my favorite colors and the body colors , then added reflection(diffrent percentages). the next step were lights reflecting the surroundings, one above(blue) and four surrounding(green). the problem is i could not get 'shadow only' to work on the plain i had set on there. so it seems a bit out of place cause of that, so since i figured it would save render time i took it off. Other settings: oren nylar-on Focal-blur no radiosity or AO used Great huh? heres the project file for anyone interested, its v12+ file Mettaur.zip Quote
MattWBradbury Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Are you sure that's an HDR image? I only ever found that environment in LDR. Still, a good wack at HDRI. Quote
the_black_mage Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 not mine downloaded and converted lol. Quote
Chrury Sanson Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Niiiice. He looks like.. a balloon! Probably from the lack of shadow. and mettaur. is that a different version of Metool? Quote
Dhar Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 WOW! That really looks awesome. A new slogan for A:M "Is it real? Or is it A:M?" Quote
the_black_mage Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 yeah, i'm working on that shadow problem. if anyone could do it that would be nice, i can't seem to get it to work.... btw the render time was lass than a mintue... mattaur- a common(and weak) helper or enemy in megaman games they also come in various colors! but seriously this will definitely help my future renders, this also works as an enviromental map as well. i'll post some more of my renders later with other models. if anyone has some hdri images to post I'll gladly use them Quote
