Telvak Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Hi, I'm new to this program, I used it a bit in high school some 5 years ago and saw it on Ebay and decided to buy it since I had so much fun with it. I started doing the tutorial on the CD that came with it, but it keeps telling me to open models in the Library folder as several locations in the tutorial, but I don't have any Models in the said folder, I tried mailling the person who sold me the software (package and all) but didn't get an answer. So I was wondering if there's somewhere I can download a Model, any model, just so I can try the "Chorus Line" and "Baseball Throw" exercices. It's really hard trying to learn how to move bones when you don't have a model to experience on. I hope someone can help me quick, Thanks for your help. Quote

The models are on the CD in the "Data/Models" folder. Hope that helps. Quote
Pete-NY Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I'm a newbie too-bee. But, I think you need to go to the views menu on top (File Edit Project View etc). Then click on View > Library. Then you should see several folders, one should say "Actors". If not, you may need to hit the "Up" arrow in the upper right or use the drop down menu to get you in the right library. Hope this helped, Pete Quote
Telvak Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 I did click on View > Library, it's on the left but there's nothing in it, even the arrow named up is grayed out. And I checked on the CD for the Data > Models folder but it's just not there, there isn't even a Data folder, I'm starting to wonder if this CD might be a stupid, messed up crack, I hope not But really all I need until I can get ahold of the guy that sold me the software is some sort of model I can download or something. Anything to get me moving forward in the tutorials. Thanks for your time. Quote
PeterS Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 What does the CD look like? What Character is on the CD? If it's a legit AM cd, I would reinstall it and see if that helps. If it's a current version and the cd is physically bad, maybe contact Hash to see if you can get a replacement. Quote
Jason Simonds Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Try this, Go to: http://hash.com/lib/ And copy the a Data folder off you CD to your hard drive. I'm not sure what year the CD you have is, but the data size of the 'Data' Folder should be over 400mb If not here is a copy of the 2007 Data folder ftp://ftp.hash.com/pub/misc/HASH2007Data.zip But this data is not 100% tested in older versions of the software. You can use the version that you got on EBay to update to the latest version of the software for 99.00. at http://hash.com/store That way you know that everything with the software and data is working. Telvak Posted June 11, 2007 Author Posted June 11, 2007 Hi again, sorry for the long-time no answer (you know... women...) So anyhoo, the CD came with a box, not manual, but that was in the description on Ebay, I had to download the PDF file "The Art of Animation:Master." The CD has a tiny woman and a hulking, hairy, medi-evil-ish couple on it, same as the loading screen when I start the app. Also, the last two links posted don't work, it seems to be what I need. Would be greatly appreciated if posted again. Thanks for the help. Quote
