Flock of lights or models with flares

Yo John (or anyone else),

 

Very cool flock usage -- I've come to realize that what you do -- just experimenting with things and thinking outside the box --must be very enjoyable!

 

I need to know what version of AM this was done in (including the update letter).

I did this experiment back in 8.5 it looks cool with volumetrics too

Now I am going to ask if you can share a little more. I have a project in mind that could benefit by this type of effect, but...

 

I downloaded the prj file. Questions follow.

What is this and what is it for.

 

I can understand the light, but the funny thing...

And what did you do to get movement? When I rendered out the project, all I got was...oh...funny how that partical switch in render works.

 

I can see much of what you did, but I don't know what to did to build it. I understand the light, just not the attachment.

More great components to add to your fireworks spectacular.

This one is really nice too.

The flash on the left hurts my eyes almost as much as those fireworks that shoot off and appear to go out then... BOOM!

 

Arrgh! I always get blinded by those.

Share Question...you can not flock lights...(at least I think you can't).... directly. So I made a simple model.and added a light to it ...right click new light,.I did another one were I just used a spline with two cp's and added the light. It used volumetrics instead pf flares

John,

I've long been a fan of putting lights in models so this demonstration makes me even happier.

Lots of thanks should be heading your way for demonstrating yet another solid usage.

 

All,

For those interested keep in mind that the light in a model is treated as a bone.

You'll need to go into Bones Mode in order to see them, move them etc.
