agep Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 A very good start indeed. Its going to be fun to watch the progress of this one. btw, do you mind showing us a wireframe of this? Stian Quote
42n81 Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 Having some issues with rendering Chrome material. Nothing has changed as far as the material used, nor the render settings from this attachment compared to the last attachment, just some spline manipulation. Yet look at what has happened to the parts with the Chrome material applied? I can't seem to pin it down. Sometimes deleting the Chrome material and then re-importing makes it render normal again, but it keeps happening as I rework the model. I believe it has something to do with the model information. As a test, I imported a sphere model with the same Chrome material applied, and the Chrome on the sphere rendered fine, but the chrome on the car had the artifacts. I tried deleting the drivers in the car model, but the chrome had the artifacts even then. Anyone have any ideas? I'm using 9x multipass w/o softening, standard light setup, no AO, shadows on, fog on. Quote
the_black_mage Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 worry about rendering when your done..... Quote
42n81 Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Interior will be detailed. Here's a days work on doors and door panels. Quote
Tralfaz Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Nice job on capturing the lines of the Vette. Tires and rims look great! Al Quote
gra4mac Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Impressive detail on the doors. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the interior. Quote
42n81 Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 Seems like not much of an update, but quite a bit of work done on front clip and hood. Lined up body panels better and did some interior work (which is not part of this render). Quote
Dhar Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 <sigh> why don't they make cars like this anymore? Very nice work indeed. Keep it up. Quote
Vong Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Looking good... This will be a sweet model once completed. Dhar : If they built them like this nowadays, the companies would go out of business. In our disposable society, you can't make something that will last!! Quote
42n81 Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Without blueprints, getting everything lined up is a real pain. The interior is harder than I anticipated, but I'm hanging in there. Also did some custom wheels since I wanted a bit of a hot rod look. Quote
nerrazzi Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Everything's coming along very nicely... Quote
