kayellen
My husband purchased A:M from a "Comdex" show back in "03/04". He never had the time to put into learning A:M so it sat in its box on the shelf till last week when we gave it to my son. I would like to update it using the downloadable updates on the Hash site. So my silly question is... Being that the version we have is from 03/04 should I download all update versions from 04-06? Will downloading Animation:Master v12.0v contain everything in previous updates? Thanks for your patience, Kayellen
wedgeeguy
KenH has the correct answer. Opps!
KenH
v12v will have everything you need. But you won't be able to use it unless you update to the latest cd. It'll only cost $99 to do so should you go that route.
Admin Rodney Posted May 28, 2006 Admin Share Posted May 28, 2006 If that was the Comdex of '04 in Las Vegas I was there roaming through the stalls. On the last day I discovered the Hash Inc booth. I bought a video from the Hash Inc booth (I should have found a way to buy the program instead!) But I was a poor young Airman with my priorities all messed up. So I chose to suffer for 4 years instead. What a great thing it was to finally open that package when I bought A:M in '98. As Ken states you'll have to upgrade to get the latest and greatest. The good news... it only costs $99 from any version of A:M. Not to confuse you but if you purchase now you'll get v12 *and* v13. If you wait you'll get v13. I'd upgrade now. Great to hear that your son has an interest in animation. It is a really fun and rewarding thing to do.

If you waited 4 years to buy it, since the Comdex of '04 in Las Vegas, wouldn't the year that you got it be 2008?
kayellen
Thanks Rodney, Wedgeeguy and KenH..... Looks like I part with a few more dollars. Oh well it is for a good cause though so I wont mind too terribly much. Thanks again!
Dhar
Yeah, it's a few dollars, good cause aside, if you were into this as much as we are, that's pennies compared to what you'd have spent if you were Pixar or Dream Works. Your support of your son's interest is admirable.

Whoops... I knew I'd let that timetravelin' thing slip eventually. Going back to 1994 to correct that. When I buy A:M this time though I hope it doesn't create one of those time ripple effects that destroy us all. Its a lot harder to animate when you are 'destroyed'. The last time I destroyed us all we couldn't animate for weeks. But... that's all in the past.
