gre03 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Hi, Here is a model that i was working on for school but turned out to be just for fun the modeling is probably finished, but i can't think a good enviroment to put it in so that i can showcase it. Comments appreciated. Quote
arkaos Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Very nice and realistic jet indeed. Maybe you could model a runway with maybe a terminal with copies of the plane parked at the gates and even a simple tower. Don't go to lengths for making props photoreal. Toss it all in a chor and set the camera to focus on the jet while leaving the background models fuzzed. Just an idear. It's a very nice plane, so it would be nice to see it in a cool setting. Should post it in the stills gallery. Quote
DarkLimit Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 nice model.........I just think the main body could be a bit more smoothed........... keep it up.......... Quote
gre03 Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 Does anyone have any good hi-res terminal/airport pics. And i also need to get more detail on the wheels, so does anyone have any good hi-res 747 wheel pics. Quote
ddustin Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Attached is a 3ds prop of an airfield. It's a millitary type airfield, I think. David airfield.zip Quote
Zaryin Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 The model looks good, but I agree that it could use a little smoothing. Did you try adding the porcelain material to help smooth it? Quote

Kamikaze Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I like the look of the compressor blades, are they modeled or decals? Keep it up, thanks for the lager pic.. Michael Quote
gre03 Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 I like the look of the compressor blades, are they modeled or decals? They're 3d rectangles twisted a bit and i used the duplicator plug-in to copy & rotate them. Quote
