boris
OK, just got the software today and have had a crack at the first 3 exercises. Here are the links: Exercise 1 Exercie 2 - QT 2.6MB Click Here Exercise 3 The only issue I have is with the Knights animation, for some reason his leg glitches half way through the animation - as it's just a drag and drop action I'm leaving it be for now. I'm sure once I am more experienced with the software I'll figure it out. EDIT - Thanks to Heath, got the new Knight and all is well... 3 more to go - see you tomorrow! boris
Okay, moving on, I've complete exercises 4 and 5 with links to both below. It's a Pitch For some reason the knight's armour on the right side of his chest is not rendering, but as I've got no modelling experience I'll leave it for now. pitch.mov Take a Walk I'm quite happy with the rabbit though there is the slightest bit of slipping on his feet, practice, practice, practice. rabbitwalk.mov Onto te next tutorials - my plan is to go through the whole book once, then start over adding my own embelishments as a kind of 'second pass' improvement, rather than being too adventurous initially. Admin Rodney Posted June 8, 2006 Author Admin Share Posted June 8, 2006 The movies are too big to post, should I re-render them at a smaller size, or put them on my site and then link to them? That is entirely your choice. Of the two options I'd suggest linking them from your site if you have one. Not everyone does.

[attachmentid=17484] There's a bit of a hop as he comes forwward for the throw that I couldn't quite get out of there. Well, I'm sure I could, I'm just getting sick of the excercise . Leo73
Good job Andy. I like how each time it plays he slows down. Nice to be able to study it further. Once again good job.
AndyDavis
Thank you for the kind words. If anyone cares, for the slowing repeats: I use Vegas Video Studio to go from raw AVI to finished product, I just threw the clip in there three times and changed the playback speed for each time. AndyDavis
How do you use different camera angles? Someone mentioned in another forum about joining different scenes together. How is that done? I would use an external program. I am using Sony's Video Studio (the cheap one about $100) because I really like the interface. You can get software that will do similar tasks all the way down to freeware. Andy
