Numaer(antialiased) Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Here's Arsenal's Logo created by me. What do u think? Quote
Admin Rodney Posted December 30, 2004 Admin Posted December 30, 2004 Hey... that's looking pretty good. The only thing I can think to really suggest is to play with the lighting to get the absolute best image possible. Quote
Numaer(antialiased) Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 You're probably right. I did try to move the light to reduce the shadows but the image looked too bright and unrealistic. In fact adjusting the light took more time than making the model. Quote
Chance Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Perhaps try to give color to the word Arsenal? Right now it blends in with the white bar on the shield on the left, and overall is pretty plain compared to the cool looking shield. As far is lighting, maybe try more lights with less intensity spread around to even it out (unless you are going for dramatic lighting/shading that is). Quote
heyvern Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Hmm.... I would go with a bolder, stronger font for the text of the logo. Since it is in 3D the lighter weight font tends to look a tiny bit weak. Maybe just changing it to bold. It needs a larger front surface to read more powerfully. Other than that, excellent job. Phil Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Is the inside of the shield three sperate parts? It may be just me. but its just seems to stick out. But look real good Quote
Numaer(antialiased) Posted January 1, 2005 Author Posted January 1, 2005 Yes, the red and blue parts of the shield are seperate. The red one is curved outwards. Quote
Numaer(antialiased) Posted January 1, 2005 Author Posted January 1, 2005 Here's another image. I've created a golden outline to the text and moved the light to reduce the shadows. Quote
guernseyfreak Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 Well, I don't support their football team, but it looks great to me! Quote
D.Joseph Design Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 It needs a bevel. If it has a bevel, it should be stronger. I've also found that environment maps (also called reflection maps) really enhance reflective objects. Just make a black image in an image editor and brush several white, soft-edges, straight streaks in it. Be sure to set the environment map as additive and play with the opacity. You could even use a grayscale photo of something. Quote
