Thanx man. I'll check when I get home.

Kinda. It's like in 1 window but expanded to fill the whole screen. It's either all the way open, or hidden. No inbetween

Get a PC! Ouch..OW...ugh! Sorry! I should have said more control and not have any virus issues... but we digress...

So I have purchased the subscription and downloaded the software. Did the installation and got through that hurdle. Now I am up to the 'The Door's Stuck' tutorial in TAoAM and have run into a little snag. It tells me to go to the projects tab in the library and get the project for the tutorial. um...the projects tab is empty. Is there a link to download the extras?

On a Mac, does A:M have to run in full screen? I can't even find a button to minimize it if I want. I'm aware of Command/Tab to get to other stuff, but I'd like to have more control.

Good stuff

I see a lot of references, in the forums, to SSS... What does SSS stand for?

I know this is done because I have watched it, but I can not find it to show my kids. Where is the link to the final version?

Open. Think fire and brimstone preacher...Holding it with his thumb in the middle. quick movements and jabbing motions with the book

I have a little animation in my head which involves prolly Kee-Kat walking around on a stage, with a book in his hand, giving a short speech. As he moves around, I'd like the soft back book to flop around as a secondary motion. What tools will I be working with to make the book move? Newtons Physics? Weighted CPs? Just wanted to know what to start reading up on.

Just to clarify. I am following the TAoAM tutorial for It's a pitch word for word. So I am working in the chor. I'll try this stuff Rodney, but Rob has a point. I'll prolly just re-do the initial pose for practice

LOL!! That's really the answer I was pretty sure I'd get. I was just hoping the was a trick like "Hold these 9 buttons down and click on this and all will be well." Never hurts to ask. Kinda like the 'Make awesome dragon model' button. It never quite evolved.

So I have run into my 1st, of many, animation question: I started the 'It's a pitch' tutorial and did the 1st pose at time 00:00:00. Then I had to save the project and get something else done in the house. When I reopened the project, I got the 2nd pose finished only to realize I had not moved the timeline up to 00:00:10. So I did a 'save as' and moved the keyframes of the new pose over to 00:00:10. So now I want to copy the keyframes from my 1st project of the beginning pose. But when I paste those keyframes into the new project at 00:00:00, it seems to combine the 2 poses instead of replace the 'bad pose'. I then deleted all the keyframes from 00:00:00 and pasted but it does the same thing. M y question is: If I have apparently no keyframes in 00:00:00 but I have keyframes in 00:00:10, how do I paste the keyframes into 00:00:00 without it mixing w/ attributes/keyframes from 00:00:10?

yayyy! Please tell us what you did, so that it can help someone else someday. As I said in the posts you linked me too: -download software -do the 'get info' on the "Animation Master 16" folder (not just the application) -Set all the permissions for everyone to 'read and write' (I set this for all users just in case) -Launched A:M and put in the activation code -Happy Dance....
-
That's the key. get info on the whole folder, not just the application. This is the little tidbit that got things working for me.
-
Thanx Nan. It took some deciphering, but I finally got it figured out.

I just downloaded A:M v16 on my iMac. I'm running mac OSX v. 10.6.8. When I put in my activation code I get an error: "Error writing license file / Application / Animation Master 16.0 / master0.lic" When I cancel it pops up "Bad parameter passed to RLM function (-123)" I have never installed A:M on this machine before. There is no master0.lic in Animation Master 16.0 at this time. What do I do now?

I'm ready for this thing to get going. We close?

Was this originally made with the "Create a Dragon Button"?

OK, when I got home I checked and only had 1 Library file (.lbr) in the folder. I then checked under Tools > Options > Folders and did the pull down to libraries. It had a pointer to both the V.13 folder and the V.15 folder. I erased the v.13 pointer as well as the folder itself and the problem is gone. Thanx man

Got a general question about walk cycles. I have fought these things from the beginning so I want to make friends with them. Say I'm making a short with a very charismatic preacher on stage pacing back and forth. Each of his walk paths are of varying lengths and sometimes it's a stroll; sometimes he's walking a little faster. Can I use the same walk cycle for each of these? If I set the starting and ending frame for each time he walks, will it adjust his walk speed and keep his feet from slipping? The last time I tried to do this he would take one step and then slide along the walk path. I hope am able to figure out why that was too.

I have always had issues with the library when I install A:M. After I downloaded v.15, I installed it. everything seemed to be fine. I didn't notice any duplicate library stuff. I then downloaded the 'big' data file. I erased the original data folder from my A:M 15 folder and moved the new 'big' folder into it's place. Now, in most of the library folders, everything shows up twice. How do I get rid of the duplicates?

Hey guys, Well, I'm back....again. I have been a subscriber since I think version 8 or 9. I just keep getting sucked into some video games that distract me. So, I have canceled the game's subscription and re-upped into the Hash venture. I seem to have a couple little movies in me that I still need to get out. I'm gonna pick up TAoAM at the baseball pitch. You can watch my progress through the class on my Myspace page linked in my profile. Hope to actually get some stuff done this time around. Thanx for your patients. F.D.P.

I think that may have been the one that started the whole 'Button' discussion way back before the forums. Ah, the good old days....
