  1. Thanx. This is a bow off the xtras cd. Let me see if I can redo the string.
  2. In the attached Project, why doesn't the string render? Please don't just fix it. Let me know what the issue is so I can fix it and learn. Thanks Music Bows.zip
  3. On the side of each post you can see people's avatar, name, # of post, etc. One of the things that can be there is: Programmer Yes/No If someone puts Yes as being a programmer, what does that mean as far as this board is concerned? I am a programmer at work, but I don't do anything for A:M like write plug-ins or anything like that.
  4. So, in the Project Workspace, I see the Model > Groups. Can I use the groups to separate the parts of the 'model'? ie the Bow. The Arrow, The Shooting Machine? How do you put stuff into it's own group?
  5. Right...Does it make sense for the bow and the 'machine' to be the same model? What I am doing is overthinking the process. Guess I need a high level view of the or a process. Do I make the bow in model? (including bones) Then make the machine as a separate model?(including bones) Bring them both into an action window to animate the action? Then bring the models into the Choreography and drop the action on them? Are constraints added in the model window? if not...which window? etc... I just don't want to get most of the way through a process only to find out I should have or could have... Thanx in advance for your patience...
  6. So here is the way I'm supposing this should work. If this does not make sense, let me know. One Model of the bow and the contraption that is going to be loading, aiming, and firing the arrows One Model of an arrow Once created, I can figure out how fast I can fire and reload and still have it look good. This will determine how many copies of the machines and bows I will need to keep up with the music. I can set the tempo of the music, so I'm sure there's a formula I can use for the action cycles.
  7. Kind of doing a version of Pipe Dreams but using archery. I'm kind of making it up as I go. Will the bow(s) be wood or metal? We'll see as the months go on. I have started school again https://www.cs.clemson.edu/dpa/msindpa.html Most of my time is being taken up with work, school, and Uber, so I am not sure how much time I am going to be able to devote to this. Attached is the beginnings of a bow. Next comes bones and movement.
  8. Cool Thanx. Next... What's the 'secret' to getting the right picture to show up in the projects menu for each project. I have a situation where I have a folder with a .prj file and a .jpg file, of the same name. I have the .lbr file with the correct path pointing to the project. In the library when A:M is open, I see a graphic of the 'bowling ally' and the correct name of my project. When I double click on the project, the correct project opens. Where's the bowling ally thumbnail coming from?
  9. I thought you might enjoy this one Rodney. Try to open: ExtrasData > Unsorted > Other source > RnDTute PW'3dartz' > RnDTute > RnDecalTute.pdf
  10. What is this guy's name? He might be fun to play with.
  11. So I have, up to this point, put about 8 hours into brute forcing this library together for the Extras DVD. Call it a labor of love. I have noticed and learned a couple things during this little excursion. When I use the library dropdown to select ExtrasDVD, I also see a lot of things from the Hash Library 1 lbr. I would love to know why. So I went ahead, in A:M and right click > deleted what I didn't want to see in my ExtrasDVD library. (I can hear the groans now) So now everything I deleted out of the Extras library is now also gone from Hash Library 1.lbr I can rebuild that though, unless someone wants to post the file and save me some time. Is it possible for the different libraries to only show up under their respective dropdowns? Another thing I have done is as I found folders under the models section that looked to have all the makings of a project, I have copied the folder to the project folder in the EXTRADVD files and added the project to the EXTRADVD.lbr file. I have found 3 or 4 of these so far. I know it's not a good practice to have duplicate folders spread around, but there you go.
  12. Rodney, On the Extras DVD > Projects > JohnL3D There are 316 zipped files. Are these all Projects donated by a John L.?
  13. Thanx Rodney, When I look at the installed .lbr file vs. the ExtrasDVD .lbr file, the Extras one is severely lacking. It kinda looks like xml. Anyway, I am going to have to put some time into building the Extras .lbr file so it shows up correctly in the drop down. Also, I've discovered that many of the files in the library are zipped. So I am going to have to unzip them and add them to the library as well. Thank you for the nudge in the right direction. I think I've got this now.
  14. Hey everyone, I have done some searching in the forums and can't find what I am looking for, even though I know this has been discussed. I am wanting to get my Libraries all set up nice and pretty. I have the normal libraries that come with A:M. I notice three (3) options in the drop down... All Libraries Hash Library 1 My Library I'm assuming Hash Library 1 is where all the stuff lives that came with the install. Is it a huge pain in the arse to move these to an external drive? I'm guessing I just need to go to Tools > Options > Folders > (drop down) Libraries and change the path? Also, I have purchased the 'Extras' CD with all it's extra stuff for the libraries. It's on my external drive. How do I get it added to my libraries in A:M? On my C: drive in the hash folder, I see a file called Hash Library1.lbr. In my extras folder on my external drive, I see a file called ExtrasDVD.lbr Do these play into this as well? To recap...How do I get all these libraries onto my external drive and working in A:M? Thanx in advance David
  15. Thanx man, I have this all resolved now
  16. LOL. I found it. Debit on 3/6/2018. Good call
  17. I began to question myself. But I found a post from me from earlier this year asking about a DLL issue while trying to install the software. I have always used the same email address. Bad part is, lesson learned here, I no longer have my emailed receipt for the purchase. I'll give the guys into next week to get back from the convention and get back to me. Not much else I can do anyway. Thanx Rob.
  18. Another quick question: Where can I see the start and end dates of my current subscription? In the store It shows my last purchase as being in 2015...I know this is not correct.
  19. Hey Guys, I have been writing support for a couple days now trying to figure out the process of getting my subscription moved to a different windows machine. My last machine crashed and burned so I do not have ANY file I can copy over. I have no feeling how buried the Hash guys are, but how long should a request like this take to get a response? i also emailed jason @hash.com yesterday per a different post's suggestion. Anything else I can do to get a response, or am I being too "Hurry up, already" at this point?
  20. My mac crashed and burned so I will be receiving my new iMac in a week. I will be boot camping it so I will have a win 10 side and a Mac side. When I contact Hash and ask them how to get my subscription moved to my new machine, I'll have to make the age old decision. Mac side or Windows 10 side? What is the current leaning and why? Are there better codex on one side or the other? Is one currently more stable than the other? Does one have the always asked for 'Make a cool, rigged dragon button? Thanx for the relevant input.
  21. See Attached image. Missing a dll file. Suggestions? iMac Windows 7
  22. Does the lifetime membership for $300 include all new versions for life? Or is it only the $80 a year that keeps you up to date with the latest and greatest?
  23. Checking in. Can't shake the interest
