  1. Wow! Impressive!

Excellent character design, animation, and lighting.

Can you post some still images? How about an image or two showing the skeleton or rigging?

    Very nice work!

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. I'm am going through a learning process. Faces are complex to say the least, but... I have a ton of trouble with the eyes. I mean, eyes seem to be pretty easy modeling wise, just a couple of spheres, plus a couple of half spheres for eyelids. My problem is the upper portion of the nose between the eyes and the area of the face surrounding the eyes. Does anyone have any suggestions for modeling the section of the face around the eye? Placement of the eyes, etc. Thanks in advance.

  3. Thanks for all your input. I am making some revisions now... Hope to post them soon! I don't have a story for this character. I was just going to use it for some animation tests and character design concept for my demo reel. Thanks again for all the input.

  4. Thanks Jim for your input to my "how do you texture.." question.

Man, I like the models on your website. Have you though about adding more images to your site, plus tutorials? We all could learn a bunch from you!

Thanks for sharing your images, and techniques.

    Awesome!

  5. I know that I have problems smoothing out objects by moving splines. Well there are a few hot keys that can help you out. I know its helped me.

Look at page 136 in the "Art of Animation Master" manual. Just like the 1,2,3 keys constrain movement to the x,y&z axis..... 4,5 & 6 constrain the movement to the spline or perpendicular to the surface. WOW! 4,5,& 6 allow for greater control, and may just make the difference when you are in the process of spline adjustment.

I knew about this, but simply forgot about it when I was modelling. It has helped out and I use them all the time now.

Have fun, and enjoy the magic of A:M! I am!!!

  6. I have used other 3D programs and each one has a different way to accomplish this. A:M has just thrown me for a loop. I agree with you, I know once I do it, then I will say "Gee that was easy".

    Thanks in advance!!!! :D
