  1. Thanks all! That suggestion with the hand targets helped a little. It doesn't happen all the time, so I guess I'll just deal with it. Here's the wire, as requested.
  2. It's the 2001 Skeleton off the new CD. Did I just rig it wrong or what? I haven't had this problem before. Modeling and texturing was done completely by me except for the hands, which I was planning on replacing anyway Just wanted to show you his back because I spent a lot of time on it.
  3. As for the question about this guy... When I move his arm in a certain number of spots, it flips around like so. Any reason why this might be going on? Thanks
  4. Hello all! Well, I had this question about some weird thing that happens with this model. Then I thought, "well, I might as well show it off too" However, there probably isn't a lot to show off. Tell me what you think.
  5. Great work! I love the definition. Keep up the nice work!
  6. I see what you're saying about the bed, Robcat. That's been bothering me too. I'm going see if I can't just add some decals to make that work. Right now, this is just a PS job too. John, I completely agree. There needs to be something right in that spot, as soon as I find it, I'll model it and put it in. Thanks guys! If I missed anything, let me know.
  7. Thank you all so much for your comments! Homework has taken over my life for a few days I've taken all of your comments so and added to the piece...peice...peace.... Expect an update this weekend sometime, thanks again!
  8. Hey, Pengy thanks for your comments. You're ideas were great and they evolved into the note at the bottom. I see what you're saying about the shoe MATrickz, It wasn't actually tilted but it did look that way, so I changed it. So may I present, update #2. Anymore comments and ideas are appreciated.
  9. Thanks for your comments nimblepix! I didn't even notice that shadow until you pointed it out. Thanks. Something needs to be in the foreground, but I don't know what. Maybe a gun, or something. Here's the update:
  10. Hey Guys! This is my latest project, I was going for a real film-noir kind of look. Anything I could do to improve? C & C welcome and wanted!
  11. Jon, I meant that no one else ever can get the dark part right (i.e. the 3rd and 4th movies) so I had to do it myself. I see how that could have been taken: "Hey man, do a darker batman model yourself!" It's just my poor ability to explain myself. Thanks for pointing out the eyelid thing, fuchur, that point really adds to the realism of the model. Just fists left for modeling. Rigging this bad-boy will be a pain. Keep the crits-a-comin'!
  12. And here's a wire with the legs started. BTW, is there an easy way to attach two files at once? Just curious...
  13. Wow, thanks for the comments so quickly! Rodney, thanks for your interest. I'm not quite sure what I have planned for him. I can't decide whether or not an animation is too ambitious but I for sure want him to be searching the lonely streets of Gotham lookin' for trouble. Well, yes, I'm a geek, just stamp it on my forehead. Thanks Jon, I guess if you want to do the dark knight right, you gotta do it yourself, eh? I'm going for the alex ross-style bats, so that would explain the less-defined and wide abdomen. I think it may use a little tweaking.... Now, here's a closeup on his face
  14. Hello, all! Just wanted to get some feedback on my latest project. Tell me what you think. I'll update as soon as a can. Thanks!
  15. Actually, the things I was talking about could be applied to both. The second image was in a choreography with a skylight and a fairly high intensity backlight. Skylights make those cool soft shadows which really illude to that "clay" look. Oh yeah, there weren't any colored lights at all. Hope that answers your questions. Feel free to ask some more. Hey, look, I found someone for my swoop guys to play with! Maybe there could be a mini-animation with this guy or something, eh?
  16. Thanks Mike! Nope, I don't have any plans of modeling yet. I don't know what'd they'd do besides zoom across the screen. If you have any ideas, though, I'd be glad to try them out! Alright Jon, this one's for you. I don't know where you're at so I'll just start at the beginning (not to say I'm an expert, which is far from the truth) I'd start out reading this tute: 3-Point Lighting setup Play around with that a little and then try out Yves Poissant's AMAZING Skylight Tutorial Just remember, pretty much nothing is ever completely black. I kept my models in the first shot untextured so they'd receive the light better. Think about it bouncing off the rocks then hitting the riders a little less intensity and coming back blue, just because the contrast looks neat. Wow, I'm long winded!
  17. Well, thanks for your replies. It really did a number on my self-esteem. Unfortunately, I had to PS the hair. As for the black dots, I thought I took care of a lot of them. I'm still runnin' with A:M 2000. I know, I know.... I tried using particles with with engine-fire-stuff but I wasn't really all that happy with it. Come to think of it, it's still not all that great, maybe I'll try something else with it. This is a shot of both of the models straight from A:M. Anymore comments are welcome
  18. Hello Fellow-Hashers! Well, this is the first time I posted anything really, so if I do something stupid don't tell me, just pretend like I know what I'm doing. Anyway, I've been working on this for the last few days. It's based on a Hildebrandt painting. I did some post work in photoshop but it's mostly A:M. You can tear it apart if you need to. Enjoy!
