    Trying to composite sequences into scenes and can't get anything to work. Elements (rendered frames) are totally unresponsive. Am trying to layer clips and have one clip start at a certain frame. It shows on the layers timeline(the one next to the project tree) correctly but wont start with the frames specified in the Chor Range settings. The layers are compositing ok but cant control the TIMING. Anyone have any experience with this at all? Any help would be appreciated greatly. thanks

    robcat since it always seems to be you that rescues me I thought I'd ask you a question directly. I'm trying to import any kind of video into AM for a rotoscoping project and having no luck. I'm using Anyvideo converter and several others trying to find a format that can be imported into AM using the imag/seq function and NOTHING is working. Do you have any experience with this kind of thing? Any help would be appreciated beyond measure. (a paycheck hangs in the balance for me on this one) and sorry to be such a pest.

      thanks for responding. The last version disk i have is the yeti label version(12 or so?) and it won't run on Windows anymore because windows can't use the disc as a key for whutever fricking reason. How do I get a 32 bit version? do I have to buy it?

      I was able to open the avi file in photoshop and output frames as tga and they seem to work but I would still like to know how to get a 32 bit version installed.

      The disc versions were all 32-bit. There is a work-around for the Windows problem on the forum somewhere.

      But A:M is now released in 64-bit, 32-bit and Mac

      If you already have a current sub, you can just download the 32-bit installer and run it. You are on a current sub, right? Here...

      However, I just tried using it and it crashes on my machine. I'll put in a bug report.

      If you need 32-bit now, try the v18 version , found on the ftp site...

    Trying to figure out how to composite sequences in the timeline (the one that opens to the right of the workspace tree). Need to overlay sequences, change times etc. and can't get anything to do what I want. Have read the tech ref over and over and nothing is helping so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Anyone know where I might find any documentation/tutorials on all those cool sounding wizards currently in v19? Have tried just tinkering with them but doesn't seem to do anything. Any help would be appreciated

    This is exactly what I've been doing but no effect. now I'm truly confused but thanks for your help robcat I'll keep tinkering with it and let you know if I have any luck.

    Ok I'll give that a shot and thanks for all your help. I'll post here if I have any progress later. I'm trying to achieve an effect from an old movie, "Forbidden Planet", where the robot's mouth would animate with sequencing neon tubes to simulate a moving mouth just FYI. Thanks again

    What version is the video from? I'm using v19e and the items in the pose dialog are different than mine(transform relationship, etc.) I thought it was because I wasn't actually moving the geometry but tried that too. I'm just not seeing or able to generate any keyframes for the ambient color. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    Nope, still dead in the water on this. The color attributes show up but any changes to the pose slider and the color have no effect.

    The manual states (but doesn't show) that you can use the Pose of a bone to change color.(page 75 of the Tech.Ref.) Been trying to change the ambient color in the pose dialog but has no effect. Any help would be appreciated.

    Long ago I had a really good UV mapping tute for AM using a cartoony Yak which disappeared thru the maelstrom of misadventures over the years and am hoping to find it somewhere out there in the ether. Any help would be appreciated, even if it's news that I have gone truly mad and imagined the entire memory. Help me find that Yak again and thanks in advance.

    Don't need a new license right now but will eventually when I get this other PC. Is getting another license a matter of buying another subscription for 80 bucks? (not sure if I'm using this correctly, are you getting this response?)

    thanks for responding fuchur. Want to set up an additional PC to run AM if and when my current machine dies. Currently have AM v19oe but don't know if it will run without internet connection or if I can install on a 2nd PC. Have tried using the Hash support page to no avail.

    Is there anyone home at Hash Inc. anymore?? Messages using the support page are ignored or not seen. What's up? Any help would be appreciated. Have been using AM for years but will not continue to pay for it if there's no support.

    No. I searched everywhere on the Nvidia control panel which has absolutely everything BUT a link to update the driver. Weird. But now AM seems to be working - go figure. Thanks for responding though Robert.

    AM v19 keeps crashing with an error saying "Nvidia has encountered a problem and must close" it used to only happen occasionally but now cant even open AM at all because of it. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

    thanks for responding. but will the new version open the project files of v14? Reason is that Windows changed something and my original v14 wont run anymore (Windows 7) so I can't save out the models to a file.

    Hello does anyone know if the current version 19 is backward compatible with older versions like 13 and 14? I spent months building models for a short film in the older versions and want to know if the new version will read those old project files before I spend money. Any help would be appreciated. Have tried sending support emails to Hash but no response. thanks

    Have tried installing several older versions like the "yeti" which installs but won't run. Error says need to be administrator but "run as administrator" doesn't work either. there is no administrator on my PC just me. I once had this same version running on it for years but now can only install/run Master 99. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello am trying to install an older version on my PC running OS7. Had it on this machine for years but upgraded and now can't reinstall it. Intstallation seems to run but program doesn't. Any help would be appreciated.

    How can you make a decal slide over the surface of a model? I've tried animating the translate x and y in the decals section under the choreography but it won't budge. Any help please.
