  1. I live in Norhtern VA right now but I am relocating to Florida in about 1-2 months, as soon as the house sells really. Just looking to see if any one is in Florida and where. Chad
  2. No worries! I am the same way, or it might be the captain morgan!
  3. Cant really ellaborate on the job but that it is a dream come true! I tought myseof 3D through the internet and cant draw anything worth a damn but 5 years later, here I am. I dont even have a art back ground! As for the rig, just shoot me an email with the specifics and I will knock it out for you.
  4. ya that was a while ago though. I have since, got a full time job with AM so I have not had a chance to make the changes to it I wanted to.
  5. actually the rig for this model would be very easy to di in a day or two max depending on how much time was actuall spent on it. if you need a hand with it email me at chad_hunt2003@yahoo.com The model looks great by the way!
  6. I would not go any other route than that of AM. When I started I was in the same boat and actually went the expensive route first...big mistake. I found that for someone like me who cant draw to save my life, even after taking classes, it is very easy to learn if you go through the exercises provided. it is well worth the $300.
  7. don't think so.
  8. thanks! i used basic AM materials for the color, for the damage marks, I used a black and white map in a projection map material and just set the bump and created another projection map with the same picture and set it as transparancy then another atrubute for the under lying color. thats it. I just wish that the projection maps did not create those streching effects!
  9. Sorry, I have been very busy with work and personal issues and have not had time to redo the textures on the helmet to make the damage more real. I have not forgot, I will get on it soon and have something posted.
  10. looks good to me. nice job!
  11. thanks for the info. I will do that. It might take a while before I get back to it but you will see a different helmet next time!
  12. I know, I just threw it up. I applied that map using a project map material. I forgot to recheck it after. I have been tied up with the FarStar project so I can not spend to much time on these things. I did it for fun and to break up things from working on one model for months at a time.
  13. Here is a model I did a while ago and never got around to rendering it out. Thanks for who ever posted the keychain project, can't remember the name right now. It took 5 hours total for the model and about 657 patches. Comments welcome. Chad if anyone would like this model, let me know and I will get it packaged up in a zip for download.
