Hey Ken, Thanks for the suggestion, I like both the cloud idea and the cut-out eyes idea. I don't quit know how to cut out the eyes because it's all one spline ring. Maybe I could use hooks somehow. I'll definately try both these ideas.

Hey, thanks for the advice John, I'm not very good at modeling myself so that might come in handy. Caroline, your right I should try making more intricate characters using the same technique.

Hey guys, Thanks for the all the help. You were right Caroline, the alpha was the problem. I finally finished the project. Suggestions and critiqing are encouraged. Patapon.mov

Hey everyone, I wachted the 2006 training video. It talks about Dennis Borusso's game Froggy Boxing. It was supposedly made in A:M and then converted into Game Studio. I was wondering if this was actually possible. If anyone has any info. about Game Studio that would be great. P.S. I have posted this same topic on the Game Master forum. Thanks for your time, Masna

Hey guys, Thanks for the encouragement. I am having some rendering problems though. The rendered version in the choreography differs from that in the movie file. I've checked that the rendering in the choreography and the movie are the same. I posted the pictures of the two different renderings. If anyone has any advice, that would be great.

Hey thefreshestever, Thanks for the suggestion. I made a test in a choreography. I made the characters flat, I turned off shadows, but I didn't use toon render ( It didn't look like the right stylization). I did like the results however. I attached a picture of the choreography. Thanks for the help, Masna

Hey everyone, I went out and got a new PSP game called Patapon. It's another fun, stylized game from Japan Studio. Playing it and looking at the 2D stylization got me thinking. "I wonder if I could make a 2D animation in A:M. Of course it's simple in Toon Render but I mean actually 2D. So I made a model of a Patapon off the top of my head. Everything is going smoothly so far but if anyone has any suggestion or ideas feel free. I attached some pictures of the project. ( I'm also working on TAO of A:M on the side lines; only four more lessons left. Thanks for your time, Masna

Hey Robcat, How do I access the filters, and yes they have been keyed before copyed them.
-
In an action window, when I use the copy keyframe and then paste a keyframe, the bones are copied onto the selected keyframe but the nulls are not. This also applies for the paste mirrored option. Does anyone know if i'm doing something wrong? Thanks for your time. Sincerely, Masna

Hopefully now I can finish the tutorials.

Gah! My AVI file and my choreography file are missing! I don't know what happened. I right clicked on the choreography and selected Save As. I tried to save it as an animation but that didn't work. Next I selected the AVIs properties but I couldn't save that as an animation either (unless there is another way to do that). So finally out of frustration I renamed the AVI as: Dancing Mexican Cactus .mov I went back to see if the file had changed and it was only half a second long! Finally I looked back at the project and the choreography for the animation was completely gone. Even if the animation were messed up I could just rerender it but now the choreography is gone. I don't know what i've done.

How do I change the file type? Do I have to rerender it?

Godzilla X King Ghidorah: Vengeance Project
Masna replied to Mikal's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
This is for Windows XP - I don't know how to do it on a Mac. 1. Locate your MirrorBone.hxt file 2. Right click it and left click Copy 3. Click Start Menu > My Computer 4. Click the Folders Icon on your top toolbar to show a list of folders on the left hand side (If you don't have this, you will have to double click your way down to get to the hxt folder, instead of doing the next step). 5. You need to click the plus signs next to My Computer Local Disk (C:) Program Files Hash Inc V15.0 6. Click the hxt folder on the left hand side, and you should be able to paste the MirrorBone.hxt file on the right hand side. 7. Restart Animation:Master There are several different ways to do the above, depending on how your Windows XP is configured. You can't get to the Plugins folder (the hxt folder) through the Control Panel, only Windows Explorer. And sorry, Mikal, I just realised we hijacked your post. I just have ONE more question (I know theres been a million and then some). Now when I right click the bone the plugins are gone! Even though I didn't delete any of the other plugins. Did I do something horribly wrong? -

I was having trouble with bone hierarchy as well so I tried te website. I was going to start the rigging tutorial when it asked me to download the model but apparently that type of file is not compatible with A:M. I'm running version 13.0 so I don't see what the problem could be. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
