  1. Hello Everyone, This week i'm working on an extra credit school project using, you guessed it, Animation Master! This project is ment to teach my class about the properties of skin: How sweat is excreted, how nerve endings tell your brain what's happening, etc. I started the project but A:M crashed and I lost all my work. I didn't get that far anyway. So I had to restart. I could go on rambling but i'll post the first pic so you can tell me what you think. I'm trying to make a "forest" of nerves. I'm going to use the same model but alter it each time. This is a red nerve: Edit: Where is the show more than drivers button? How do you delete relationships?
  2. If you look at the last lesson it goes into detail about making it more realistic by making the hair become thinner towards the end of the folicel but thicker towards the root. This can be achieved by using the timeline. Heres how to do it: 1) Pick [View] [Timeline] from the menu bar. 2) Zoom in so you can see 0-100%: this represents 0% of the length up to 100% of the length. 3) Click on the channel ( the dotted line) at 100%. This adds a control point. 4) Drag the control point down to a thickness of .01. This will make the hair taper towards it's end. 5) After your happy with the thickness of your hair move the position indicator (the purple line) back to 0%. Hope that helps. I pretty much quoted TAO of A:M but anyone correct me if i'm wrong, Masna
  3. I deleted the project (I didn't get that far anyway), changed the terrain grid settings to 10 X 10 and everything works like new. I did lose my project but it was little sacrafice to losing A:M. Thnaks everyone, Masna
  4. Yes actually... Could that be the reason?
  5. I tried turning the hair off and then didn't work, so I tried ruducing the resolution but that just made the pop up come up. Thanks though, it was a good try, Masna
  6. Hello, I'm currently working on a school project about the properties of skin, but i'll go into that in another thread. Right now I'm having some difficultues wity A:M. I tried using a tearrain plug-in, but then a pop up came up saying "insufficent storage space" and my computer crashed. Now when I open A:M and click ANYTHING a pop up shows up saying "Realtime Rendering Difficulties". I don't know what Raltime Rendering is, but from speculation it can't be good. But the worst is my deadline! I'm sitting at my desk ready to pull my hair out, Masna
  7. Hey Animation Man, I really like this project so far! The only change I would make is the hair's texture. Maybe you could taper it a bit more... like in the last exercise in TAO of A:M, "It's Getting a Bit Hairy". Hope that helps a little, Masna

Thanks John. Edit- I don't have access to A:M on the weekends so I can't download it right now.
  9. Thanks Caroline, They do look like worth while tutorials. I'll definitely order a couple of them.
  10. Hey Pesto, I've never heard of this tutorial, do you have a link? Thanks, Masna

Hey everyone, I did some searching myself and found some very strange and mysterious threads. Seems this orange sphere project was for some reason aborted. Creepy... O_o http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...=15500&st=0 Obnamunk and followers sure are strange. Oh John, Did you make that Homer Simpson? It's great!

Great find Caroline, one of the funniest threads i've seen on hash yet. Maybe I should consider making mine animated too. Or make it into an oranger sphere...
  16. Thanks guys!
  17. Thanks for the help, but it's not exactally what I meant. (Sorry for the lack of specifications.) Example of what I meant: On frame 5 a machine starts up and a puff of smoke flys out a pipe. On frame 7 the smoke evaporates and the machine is functioning normally. This case might just be like an animated decal where you use on/off pose sliders.

Heh heh. Takes true talent to do something like that, Phatso.
  19. Is it possible to turn particle sprites on and off on command?
  20. Thanks for the link Caroline. Your right, it is brilliant.
  21. Hey it works! Now about those trees... I remember seeing a post about a tree plug-in awhile back. Guess I should do a search. Thanks, Masna

Cool! Did you make that yourself? It's really good.
  23. Thanks!
  24. I've just been looking into something very similar to what you want. 3D gamestudio, it can convert A:M models into 3DGS. From there you can program your game. I have yet to purchase 3DGS, but it looks like a very neat program. You could look at Emilio's tutorial: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...50&hl=games Hope that helps, Masna
  25. Is it possible to animate a decal? Lets say I have a character who has a smiley face decal attatched to him for the first 12 frames but changes his expression, via decal, on the 13th frame. Better yet, can you decal movie files? Thanks for the help, Masna
