dborruso Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Hello, Here is a character I am working on, he is almost done. Any comments, criticisms, or suggestions would be helpful. If parts of his body look familiar it is because his body is a rework of kee kat. I hope you like him. Also check out my recently updated website and let me know what you think: www.3dfrog.com Thanks Quote
shaunf Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Hi Dennis, The character looks good. Just a thought though, his body shape looks vaguely feminine to me. Perhaps chunk up the upper torso a little to make it a more convincing male character. Other than that is looks well constructed and fun. Cheers Shaun Quote
Mega Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 What's up D-Bo! I really like him. I agree with Shaun, I would add some mass to his torso to give him more "weight". I like the blue hair, too. Have you thought of trying a receding hairline? Also, does he have long hair in the back? Any chance of seeing a close up of his face? The nose looks really good...can't wait for more. Tony Quote
dborruso Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 I puffed up the chest a little: I think he looks more masculine now, now I need to do the inside of his mouth. After doing a close up of his head I realized he needs more work done which I'll post later. Thanks for responding. Quote
Atomike Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 The eyes seem a little odd - I wonder if this guy would benefit from more cartoony eyes - i.e. a simple black pupil.... Quote
dborruso Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 a close up of the head. Still some grooming issues but getting there. darkened the eyes because that bright green did look a little freaky. Quote
jfirestine Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Great character! Reminds me of my 6th grade band teacher (less the blue hair). Can you post wireframe images? Quote
dborruso Posted August 3, 2004 Author Posted August 3, 2004 I added some pearly whites and some eyebrows. I think he's done now. Now rigging. Quote
adamP Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Hey Dennis, nice work. He has a lot of character already, just think about when he's animated. One thought, is that roughness that you're using for the skin? If so, maybe adjust the roughness scale a bit. Nice Work! Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 6, 2004 Hash Fellow Posted August 6, 2004 The psychedelic outfit and the beard made me think... Ringo Starr Looking forward to seeing him move! Quote
