Hey all, have a landscape with quite a bit of grass, and grass is doing something I don't understand; from frame to frame, it will just extend and go crazy, taking up half the landscape. This is what it looks like before

and this is after

most of the time, I simply remove and readd the patch, but it seems to be doing this more and more, and I can't figure out why. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Rich

One thing I DID notice was, I turned the streak emitter off on my waterfall, and the grass stopped acting crazy. what's the connection?

Without trying the PRJ myself, one work-around that comes to mind is to Bake the grass with the Streaks OFF and then turn the Streaks ON

I've seen this... are you using dynamics in the grass? Next time you see it try this... give the spacebar a firm 'whack', this tells the particles to re-calculate and typically sorts it out without jumping thru further hoops. Your grass is just A:M Hair, right? (or is there a grass feature I am unawares of?)

Do you really need this patches density on the landscape ?
