emailtim Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 Nothing spectacular, but my first real attempt at "freeform" modeling. This was real good practice for my "splinesmanship" skills. Still needs some tweaking, but I'm pretty happy with it. Wireframe Shaded wirewframe Rendered Quote
KenH Posted March 27, 2004 Posted March 27, 2004 looks good! What's that round thing on the side? Never seen it before... Quote
Admin Rodney Posted March 27, 2004 Admin Posted March 27, 2004 Milk Jug, well, I'm pretty proud of it... ...and well you should be proud! I like! My milk jugs don't have as deep a dent though... *(For Ken) Mine usually do have the dent though... There are probably several reasons for the dent. One guess would be to increase the surface area of the jug to keep the contents cool. My conspiratory mind first thought it might be to make it look like a bigger jug than the competition... but a gallon is a gallon...I guess. As Sigmund used to say, "Sometimes a milk jug is just a milk jug". Are you gonna decal it with a label? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 27, 2004 Hash Fellow Posted March 27, 2004 Nice Jug! My conspiratory mind first thought it might be to make it look like a bigger jug than the competitionThat's what they want you to think, but the round thing is really to make it easier for the robots to hold the jug while they put human-mind-control nano-chips in the milk. ChrisThom Posted March 27, 2004 Posted March 27, 2004 OK, let's dispence with all the obvious jokes right off the bat. - Got Milk? Why, yes you do! - Hey baby, nice jug!! Quote
Admin Rodney Posted March 27, 2004 Admin Posted March 27, 2004 The fact that this post and Ken's dynamics posts were on the list at the same time PROVES there is a conspiracy afoot. You conspirators digust me (In an entertaining kind of way). Quote
emailtim Posted March 27, 2004 Author Posted March 27, 2004 I do plan to texture it, decal it and fill it with water. I need a jug of distilled water for a project. (although I call it a milk jug) Quote
Iham Wrong Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 Gosh! You better build yourself a refrigerator before all of that milk spoils. <grins> BTW.. nice model. Quote
ChrisThom Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 Since your going to fill it with water I assume that you're going to make the bottle partially transparent. In that case make sure you give it an inner wall or else the bottle will be paper thin and look a bit weird (a.k.a. - fake). Quote
emailtim Posted March 28, 2004 Author Posted March 28, 2004 I thought someone may find this interesting... (Wow, I really need to get the maid to dust!) Quote
