Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted January 31, 2014 Hash Fellow Posted January 31, 2014 I'd like something like this for a musical instrument project and I'm thinking I've seen them before, but I'm not sure what they are called. They would be about a half inch at the base, ideally. Sturdy metal, of course. Am i just dreaming, or is this a commonly available piece of hardware? Quote
Wildsided Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 looks like an eye bolt to me, although not with the round base Quote
Admin Rodney Posted January 31, 2014 Admin Posted January 31, 2014 I've not seen the round base either. Where it comes to ropes and strings though perhaps one could find such a piece on a boat? (Come to think of it though those would likely be much larger) I see one similar (but not the same) via a google search on Copper Nickel Eye Bolt There are also some clamping magnets in that configuration but they wouldn't hold weight. Admin Rodney Posted January 31, 2014 Admin Posted January 31, 2014 This search yields some better results: Eye Bolt with Round Base Most have bases with magnets. Quote

For the curious, that image took 1 hour 13 minutes to render with Soft Reflections ON. With Soft reflections OFF it takes 3 minutes. Quote
