*A:M User* Roger Posted September 24, 2013 *A:M User* Posted September 24, 2013 I needed a simple project to get back on track, so I thought I'd have a go at a fish. It is still really rough. This is very much going to be a stylized fish as opposed to a photo-real fish. Quote
Gerry Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Hey Roger, do you have a sketch or something to indicate what you're going for? Quote
pixelplucker Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I made this gold fish a long time ago, might be a good starting point or you can just fiddle with it and have some fun. goldfish.zip Quote
*A:M User* Roger Posted September 25, 2013 Author *A:M User* Posted September 25, 2013 I was actually going to do some sort of goldfish, but I may give this another try using a rotoscope. Quote
Gerry Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Trying to make something like this up in the modeling window is doing it the hard way! Definitely a roto, or at least a sketch. Quote
pixelplucker Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I agree, any model you should have some rough sketches at the minimum to work from or you run into snags where proportions and general look of what you want gets lost. Snag some basic pictures of real fish and once done you can modify the model. Quote
Malo Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 If it helps, I had this little flash animation for a fish (modeled in Sculptris to create the rotoscope) modeled in AM ... we see the steps by steps : flash animation Quote

pixelplucker Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Some pencil sketches of side and front scanned in would work too. Quote
