Ilidrake
Installed AM and I swapped to DirectX. Then I went to software render instead of hardware. Now when I launch I get ERROR at the top of the screen. I go to options and attempt to try to get hardware back but the graphics tab isn't even showing up. I can go to OpenGL but I get the mystery gray box when trying to select anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled but no good. I'm stumped. Any ideas how to fix this? Wildsided
Is the global tab there when you go into options?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 24, 2012 Hash Fellow Share Posted December 24, 2012 "software render"? Try Help>Reset Settings
Ilidrake
WOW! Thanks Robcat. I didn't know that was there.
aen916
did this work for you? My realtime rendering is set to OpenGL, with no option to change it to DirectX. I'm getting the greyed out selection box as well. The reset settings did nothing to help.
Ilidrake
This is for the 32bit version. I don't think the 64bit version has the option to use direct x
aen916
That's weird. I am using the 64 bit version though.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted December 28, 2012 Hash Fellow Share Posted December 28, 2012 Direct X is not in the 64-bit versions. aen916, what OS are you on, does it have Aero and do you have Aero OFF?
