Does somebody happen to know whatever happened to William Egginton, who once contributed also to this community here later migrated to that other app with that strange new promoconcept ,that didn'T quite work out - at least for the customers- and now seems to have mysteriously disappeared?

I hadn't heard that Wegg ever mysteriously disappeared.

AFAIK Wegg has continued to create/develop CG (adverts and such) and still markets his services to the community he now hangs out in.

Now if he's disappeared from that community as well... then I'm not sure what to tell you.

He shouldn't be too hard to track down if you need to contact him.

I had a chat with Bill recently, asked him what software he was using. He was highly touting a 2-program approach... and I am vague on what the 2 were... it was like... Wings3D to model and another app to setup animate and render... I totally forget what the other app was. They were both rather obscure. He was still fond of A:M though.

I'd been wondering the same thing recently, after watching some older vids of the live demonstrations.

Wegg was one I was curious about, and Jeff* Cantin was the other.

* - Fixed Jeff's name. Thanks, Rodney!

Jim Cantin

I believe you mean Jeff Cantin (aka Tincan).

He made an attempt to start posting again here in the forum a year or so ago (its probably been at least two... time flies quickly these days). He said he hoped to post some new tutorials and then faded out from view again.

At last check Jeff was still living in Reno Nevada and using A:M periodically. At least for awhile he was using A:M to create prototypes that he'd then make into real jewelry. Keep in mind that Jeff never really made the transition from the old email listserver to the forum so he hasn't been around for a very long time (I'd say 8 or 9 years because the forum has been here since late 2003).

I was just surfing around and wondering, if this app would be continued, not because I use it,

but just because I find it strange, that they made such a promohype ( you know that: if we find

so and so much buyers we give it to you for 5 $ - thing) and then.......... nothing more

, no real info whats going on and Wegg seems to be involved somehow as well

with no news from him since quite some time.

So just pure curiosity about these strange business ways and their possible backgrounds...

(There was a similar thing short time later with that city-builder app company, that turned

belly up short time after....)

Bah yeah, Jeff Cantin. My bad.

Well, I got the "J" part right at least!
