Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 11, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted June 11, 2012 I saw "Madagascar 3" today. I can't wait to hear what the reaction in France is. A French character is pretty much the comedy villain. She sings a whole Edith Piaf song with no translation! I thought that was daring. The percentage of Americans who will get that is close to zero. The penguins are still the funniest characters. It was a bit busy but I enjoyed it and marveled at all the detail in the production. Dreamworks certainly puts all the money on the screen. I also saw a trailer for Sony's "Hotel Transylvania" and it looked like limited animation in comparison. Characters would go to a pose and then their mouths would move. It didn't look BAD... I would like to study how they make do with something so economically done, I would have trouble doing so little and getting a satisfying result... but it did not look like what was happening in the Dreamworks movie that came right after it. Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 12, 2012 Author Hash Fellow Posted June 12, 2012 I really liked "Sonia" the bear. I liked that she didn't talk like the other animals and i felt sad for her when her tricycle got broken. I also liked "The King of Versailles". That was a very odd touch. Quote

Gerry Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I'm looking forward to this one. Loved the first two, and the penguins are the absolute best! Quote
