I saw "Madagascar 3" today.

I can't wait to hear what the reaction in France is. A French character is pretty much the comedy villain.

She sings a whole Edith Piaf song with no translation! I thought that was daring. The percentage of Americans who will get that is close to zero.

The penguins are still the funniest characters.

It was a bit busy but I enjoyed it and marveled at all the detail in the production. Dreamworks certainly puts all the money on the screen.

I also saw a trailer for Sony's "Hotel Transylvania" and it looked like limited animation in comparison. Characters would go to a pose and then their mouths would move.

It didn't look BAD... I would like to study how they make do with something so economically done, I would have trouble doing so little and getting a satisfying result... but it did not look like what was happening in the Dreamworks movie that came right after it.

Saw it yesterday. I enjoyed it. I agree with you Robert about Hotel Transylvania.

I enjoyed this one the best of the three.

I really liked "Sonia" the bear. I liked that she didn't talk like the other animals and i felt sad for her when her tricycle got broken.

I also liked "The King of Versailles". That was a very odd touch.

The relationship between Sonja and the King Lemur cracked me up. Her expressions were great.
