Admin Rodney Posted January 14, 2012 Admin Posted January 14, 2012 Yes, it's got enough of an interest here in the forum that we've got a few folks looking into it already. Hopefully, it'll be everything people envisions it to be. See topic in the User Development section here for our initial look into Ikinema: Ikenema Webanimate Forum Discussion Quote
jakerupert Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 only drawback, is its going to cost once it is out of beta. Has anybody encountered yet, what the middleware will cost ? Since the maya plugin cosst 350,- $ US it will be probably around 700,- $ US I estimate, not a real bargain anymore Quote

Since the maya plugin cosst 350,- $ US it will be probably around 700,- $ US I estimate, not a real bargain anymore This was my first impression when I looked at it last week. I'm wondering though, with HTML5, if there isn't some way to breath life back into the A:M plugin that was out there some time ago? Quote
John Bigboote Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I believe that WebAnimate will be free to use, but will charge $ once your animation is final and you want to output via file format to your home app. Problem with that is... when is an animation ever REALLY done... you ALWAYS go back and dink-dink-dink... but it claims the fee would be nominal.
