Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 14, 2011 Hash Fellow Posted August 14, 2011 Not an A-list name, but he had A-list experience working at Disney, Warner and elsewhere in the post-golden age of the 50's and 60's. For those of you who like reading about those times, he has many stories to tell in this Michael barrier interview: http://www.michaelbarrier.com/Interviews/C..._Interview.html I was driving down the street and I saw Roland—it was [animator] Roland Crump. He was on the street doing construction work. I said, "What the hell happened, Roland?" "I won't go to work there"—he had to do the spots; he was animating the spots on the dalmatians. They put him in charge of the spots on the dalmatians. He quit; he said, "I'd rather be out here in the street doing construction than do that." He ended up being really good in developing parks and designing WED. Now we have decals. Quote
Gerry Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Great interview! I got about halfway through it so far. Thanks for the link. Quote

John Bigboote Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Yeah, interesting to read... most animators were lucky to make $200 a week in the 1960's... $9,600 per year. Quote
