*A:M User* Roger Posted April 28, 2011 *A:M User* Posted April 28, 2011 So I need to digitize some old stuff from tape, but my VCR has given up its ghost. Does anyone even still sell them anymore? I was walking through the local big box the other day, and saw a dvd/vcr combo unit for $300 (cue what the heck). I guess I should try maybe Walmart or something. I hate the thought of scanning all these cells in by hand, even with a scanner with an ADF it would be a pain, and I'm not sure my scanner can handle animation paper. Quote

I guess I need to go trolling pawn shops then. Problem is, I may run into the same problem I had with my current dead vcr - the thing will eat my tape, I'm out $20 (or however much) and still have to rescan a bunch of cels. Maybe I'm better off just doing that in the first place. Quote
