lines not showing on top

Ok should be simple im drawing a top down view of a building and using a grid. only problem is that the lines seam to hid behid the grid so in the tod down view you only see parts of the cps and no lines what so ever , is there any way to set the grid to be behind the lines?

The only way I know of is to go into Shaded/Wireframe mode.

In Options>Choreography (and Modeling, too ) there are options to turn off the grid.
