Hi,

I've been looking around the forums for answers to my problem with the "Trouble Loading HDR" error, when I try to import an HDR as an image in v15.g.

I saw a post in which Yves Poissant said that it is not an "HDR file format" one imports, but a "High Dynamic Range Data" image.

Can anyone elaborate on this? Essentially, I want to import High Dynamic Range pictures like the "Galileo" and "Uffizi Gallery" images from the "Debevic" site to work with creating lighting environments for my models.

Any help would be appreciated.

I imported into the images folder and it opened up just fine, except that the text seems to be inverted

Are you trying to open it differently?

The HDR supported formats that A:M can import are .hdr (Radiance file) and .exr (OpenEXR). I use both and they work fine A:M v13.

I'm using 15.0g. I'm not sure why I get that error, but I do. Anyone else have this problem?

maybe your copy is corrupted? Download it again.

You are RMBing on Images and choosing Import>image, right?

hdr images never load or just that one?

What does "RMB-ing" mean?

RMB=Right Mouse Button

I should stop using acronyms to save time. I always have to come back and type them out full. :D
