you mean 3 splines?

 

Show us a wireframe of the problem spot. You'll get a more useful answer if we see it.

I have no idea what I'm looking at, but if that is one layer of patches there are several spline problems there. :o

 

In the tut link in my sig there's a vidoe on avoiding dead end splines. That might be useful.

 

But I'm still not sure what part of your pic you're referring to.

allright i think im just going to compleatly redo that area as i have confuzzeled the greate robcat2075

 

a question i would like to know is what would be the best way to put a fin like object into a otherwish flat object

the quick and dirty way would be to just model the fin and stick it there. The mesh doesn't need to be continuous. It's nicer when it is, but not required.
