itsjustme Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Could anybody tell me how to make an object look like it's moving realistically. U know like those blue suits and they add the CG character to those actions? HELP Do you mean "motion capture"? Which is also called "MoCap" or "performance capture", depending on who's talking about it. A Google search using those terms will turn up a lot of information on the subject. Hope that helps. Quote
phatso Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 ...but then, MOCAP requires extra equipment. Could you be more specific? Quote
Xtaz Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 A long time ago I did a small animation wich I used a simple movie as rotoscope... no extra equipments. CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT Quote
phatso Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Hmm. True - using a video file as a rotoscope isn't mocap, in that it doesn't do the work for you - but it does work and it is cheap. Quote
Rooky Animator Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 Thanks guys, I like the idea for the rotoscope thing but there's just one thing wrong. Whenever I pull up a rotoscope, it doesn't show the picture in the box, it just shows white in the box. Quote

If you are using OpenGL, change to DirectX...if you're using DirectX, change to OpenGL. It's on the "Global" tab of the "Options" menu. Hope that helps. Quote
