breakthelocke
anyone know where I can find a simple full-body rigging tutorial, not just how to put an already made skeleton into something? If not, can someone tell me which constraint I should use to make feet not go through the ground? thanks !
NancyGormezano
Hi - This post points to a tutorial might help you - I believe it starts from the beginning beginning: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=244810 ooops just read thru that and I don't see anything on IK constraints - which is what you'll need to know in order to rig your legs properly. The TAOA:M manual "Show some backbone" exercise would help in setting up a constraint system for your legs.
largento
The constraint to use for the feet not going through the floor is "translate limits." Set the minimum Y value to zero.
itsjustme
What you're looking for is something like this tutorial for the legs...an IK setup will prevent the feet from going through the ground. Here is another tutorial that might help. Also, Mack Chappelle has started making a tutorial that covers rigging an entire charcter...it's here. There is also a set of tutorials for sale that covers this...I don't have the link handy, but I'm sure someone will post it. If not, I'll look it up and post it later. Hope that helps. ---------------------- EDIT ---------------------- Here is the link to Barry Zundel's tutorials.
