johnl3d Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Made a quick map in PS ..way to big 4x6 inch... one black to grey the other with some blue tones..same map just played with hue Then grabbed grid.mdl on cd and enlarged it some Fit decal onto model changed it to displace and cranked up diplacement to 25000%. Added color decal to folder and rendered grid using it instead of ground Interesting results [attachmentid=21670] find the hairy Waldo [attachmentid=21673] I converted the decals from tga to jpg in case any one is interested [attachmentid=21671] [attachmentid=21672] Quote
Chad_Hunt Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I did some tests omn this my self in v13, the denser the mesh the less you have to increase the % on the ground model, single patch I had to cranck it up to like 8000% to match what a 900 patch model had at 500%. Quote
MattWBradbury Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 The percentage is based on measurement. 100% is equal to 1 cm. Quote
