Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted September 21, 2006 Hash Fellow Posted September 21, 2006 holes for the grill? there's a darksim texture that makes holes just like that. called metalholes.dsts oddly enough. or you could make a transparency map in a paint program so the holes would be in any arrangement you like. If you tiled the map you'd only need to make a few holes. Quote
the_black_mage Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 no bump maps arn't random.... Quote
digitalmunkey141 Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 "metalholes.dsts" is this on the CD or do i need to download it? Quote
jpappas Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 That's one of the DarkSim Procedural Materials, you can download them for free from here: http://www.darksim.com/html/simbiontam.html The plugin that allows A:M to use the DarkSim materials is called Simbiont and is also free, but if you have A:M version 13.0 or above you don't need to get it, it's part of the A:M install and ready to go. Just create a new Material, change the Attribute to Darksim, then you'll see where you can click to load a material in, and just navigate to where you downloaded the materials. -Jim Quote
