Gene Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 This was my attempt at speed modeling. WARNING: Splines in project file below are poorly built and illogical. These were Speed-Splines as I was timing myself to see how long this would take. (1.5hrs). Regards, Eugene Quote

starwarsguy Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Great work! Only problem I see is that the handle seems a bit wide, and will only get wider as the clamps close Quote
KenH Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Great work! Only problem I see is that the handle seems a bit wide, and will only get wider as the clamps close No they'll get narrower. They look right to me. Nice work! Quote
NancyGormezano Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Great stuff ! I'm not normally attracted to "realistic" 3d, and especially not inanimate objects (THEY WON'T BE FOR LONG as you keep sharing them and people like Vern & Johnl are lurking about) but your stuff has a certain quality about it that is very appealing... I can't quite figure out what it is that you do to make them so convincing - perhaps it is the very good attention to detail with curves & textures, materials. Quote
Zaryin Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Hey Gene, the stuff you've been posting is great. For less than two hours work this looks great. Quote
Gene Posted February 12, 2005 Author Posted February 12, 2005 I used a rotoscope to trace out the general shape so I know it's not perfect but it's close. Nancy...Thank You. I think I will try an animation in one of my next few posts. Zaryn...Thank You. Hope you've been keeping well! One day I will figure out how to make realistic looking 3D glass. Cheers, Eugene Quote
